01 — Why it exists
The problem was never the ladder. It's the rung.
Every rooftop tent owner knows the climb: a narrow rung concentrating your weight into one strip of foot. Ladder Steps give that foot somewhere proper to land.
A wider place to stand
The step surface spans the rung, so your foot lands on a broad, cushioned platform instead of one narrow strip of aluminium.
Cushioned, not bare rung
Heavy-duty 600D fabric with a waterproof backing over acrylic board inserts — firm underfoot, kinder to bare feet.
Strapped, not clamped
Rung loops, side straps and rear Velcro fastening straps wrap the ladder — no drilling, no brackets, nothing permanent.

Longer rear straps.
More ladders they'll fit.
V4 extends the rear Velcro fastening straps to roughly 20 cm. That extra length is adjustment — it lets the steps wrap and tension around a broader variety of RTT telescopic ladder rung profiles than V3 could.

03 — Fitting & pack-up
Fit once. Leave them attached when you pack up.
The steps can stay on the ladder when it's retracted, and the 2 m securing strap keeps the ladder and steps contained for storage and transit.
- Loop the rung straps around the ladder rungs and seat the step surface flat.
- Tension the side straps, then wrap and close the rear Velcro fastening straps.
- Retract the ladder with the steps still attached and secure the bundle with the 2 m strap.

Is the ladder included?
No. Ladder Steps V4 attaches around the telescopic ladder you already have — it upgrades that ladder rather than replacing it.
Will it fit my ladder?
V4 is designed around Vantura Outfitters telescopic ladders and was updated to improve fitment on other common telescopic RTT ladder profiles. Ladder dimensions vary between brands, so universal compatibility can't be guaranteed. Send us a photo and measurements of your rung before ordering and we'll help check.
How does it attach?
Dedicated rung loops sit over each rung, side straps tension the step surface and the rear Velcro fastening straps close around the back of the ladder. No drilling and nothing permanent.
Do I need to remove them to pack up?
No. The steps can stay attached when the ladder is retracted, and the included 2 m securing strap with handle helps keep everything contained for storage and transit.

Meet the new V4 RTT Ladder Steps — the latest evolution of Vantura Outfitters’ padded ladder step system. V4 keeps the wide, cushioned step design of V3 while introducing extended rear Velcro fastening straps of approximately 20 cm, providing greater adjustment for a broader range of telescopic rooftop tent ladder rung profiles, including many newer wide-step designs.
